When you walk into Salon Innovations, on the corner of Cady and Center in Northville's historic district, a feeling of calm descends on you.  "It is a home to familiar faces,"  say Donna Thompson & Barbara Sheehy, the owners of the salon.  From the Champagne walls to the chandelier hanging in the window, Barb and Donna's style presents itself.  The partners, who met working side by side at two other salons in Northville, pooled their 30-plus years of experience to start their own business.  "We worked so well together in the past," Donna said, "I don't think I could have picked a better partner.  Things are working really well here."

"Everyone who works at Salon Innovations must attend classes" says Barb, who is a L'Oreal educator, "so we can provide our clients with the most updated and innovated hair fashions."

Co-owner Barb Sheehy is an Artistic Advisor and Color Educator for L'oréal® Professional. She is trained in Vidal Sassoon®, “Tony & Guy” and Barbering techniques of hair-cutting.

 

Barb is a Master Stylist in all areas of hair design. She regularly attends professional education programs to learn new styles, skills and techniques, in order to provide the most current and workable hair designs.

 

Barb is an expert in Special-Occasion Styling for both bridal and other important social events.

Donna Thompson is co-owner of Salon Innovations, Inc. in Northville, MI.  Her education in the hair industry includes training in New York and Toronto, as well as continuing education on the latest trends in Color Technology and Special-Occasion Styling.  Her commitment to the profession has earned her expert status in:
